Subject: Support the All Eyes on Tulsa Reparations Campaign!

As Author and Activist Dorothy DeWitty said, "Tulsa is the Tale of Two Cities: One Black and one White". The Tulsa Race Riot of 1921 was arguably the most destructive in property damage and lives of any such upheaval in American History. The Oklahoma State Legislature authorized a commission in 1997 to research this devastating event. In February 2001, after 3 1/2 years of study examining 20,000 pages of documentation, the Commission delivered their report to the Governor, the State Legislature, the Mayor of Tulsa and the Tulsa City Council. The report included a list of recommendations for reparations to be made to the riot survivors and the Greenwood area African American Community.
